Newest Study Says: Moon Have Plenty Of Water Everywhere Is That Possible And How Much Is It True

Newest study found that moon have as much water than earth If the impact was hotter than first thought, rocks could have boiled and in the process created a temporary atmosphere where the Earth and the moon would have exchanged water through their gravitational pull. However, if the impact was a cooler one, then materials that didn’t boil—including water—could have been locked into the moon’s core

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration discovered water on the moon by crashing a Centaur rocket into a crater called Cabeus. At the time, scientists involved in the discovery suggested the water was left by impacts from meteors or comets. This study may mean that some of the ice came from eruptions from the moon’s interior

Water plays a critical role in life on Earth, of course, but it also has a huge effect on geology. Volcanoes erupt very differently when water is involved (they tend to explode when wet), water affects the temperature of magma, and it even affects tectonics. Knowing just how much water is inside a planetary body is a key insight into its history. And apparently we’re not totally sure of even our nearest neighbor!
